Malvern Residence

The form has been carefully composed and articulated to respond directly to its context. Materials were chosen for their natural texture and colour to avoid the need for external finishes.

Inside the house, all floors are constructed from white polished concrete, increasing the thermal mass, stablising the internal temperature and providing maximum acoustic isolation between rooms. The internal detailing meets the guidelines of the Asthma Foundation for minimising alegines.

The house is fitted with a solar hot water system and underground 5000ltr tank connected to the toilets, washing mashine and garden taps.

Outside the native garden is designed to minimise water use.
